DANCE IS FOR EVERYONE WHO LOVES TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES THROUGH
CREATIVE MOVEMENT.

MMM gives an understanding of how correct breathing can increase stamina and range of movement, how working on posture can improve health and vitality, how using the body’s natural opposition can strengthen muscles, all this as well as balance, agility and co-ordination leading to being able to free the body to dance and the mind to be creative.
MMM gives the technique to improve skills and the encouragement to be creative.

DANCE FOR JOY
“MMM is the hidden gem of the dance world.”

MM technique is based on using breathing with co-coordinated movements designed to:

Develop a sense of rhythm
Improve balance
Improve concentration level
Stretch and strengthen muscles
Mobilise joints
Develop a dance vocabulary
Increase flexibility, strength, stamina and elevation.
The progression of the technique provides each person the opportunity to constantly develop and reach his or her full potential.
…and more

The use of coordinated breathing with movement provides an extra quality to the exercises and an enhanced sense of wellbeing.
Dance for fun and fitness – enjoy the complex combinations of travelling phrases and balances with varying dynamics, improving dance quality, interpretation and accuracy.
Develop performance quality, stage projection, interpretation and musicality with increasingly challenging series of movements.
Gain an excellent vocabulary for dance performance and choreographic progression linking movements to a diverse music and developing a range of musical interpretation.

The Auld Alliance Twinning Association was founded over 20 years ago and is twinned with the French La Vieille Alliance in the Oise Region. People from the villages of Dunscore, Keir, Penpont and Tynron and the surrounding areas have enjoyed regular visits and hospitality with their counterparts in the French villages of Le Coudray, Le Deluge, Ressons L’Abbaye and La Neuville D’Aumont near Beauvais just north of Paris.

In 2015, over 30 French friends aged between 8 and 80 travelled over for a weekend and were treated to visits to Auchentoshan Distillery and the Riverside Museum in Glasgow, a picnic and a Ceilidh. In 2016, the visit to France will include a boat tour of Paris and a talk at the French National Assembly, as well as an evening social event. The French hosts will also arrange individual visits and provide delicious meals. Families with children are particulary welcome to join the exchanges.

During the year, the Association holds a range of French themed social events to raise funds for the visits. We have also received generous funding from local Community Councils.

If you are interested in joining the Auld Alliance or coming along to some of our events just contact Ranald McDonald for more details on 01848 200469 or lindaandranald@gmail.com
